The film was mostly shot in Australia and New Zealand.
Dragonball Evolution is an upcoming 2009 American live-action film adaptation of the Dragon Ball media franchise being produced by 20th Century Fox. Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is an upcoming film and the second live-action film based on the Street Fighter series of video games. The film co-stars Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Chris Klein as Charlie, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, and Black Eyed Peas singer Taboo as Vega. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an upcoming science fiction/action film due for release on June 24, 2009. It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. The film introduces many more robots and the scope has been expanded to numerous countries, the most important of which is Egypt. The main hurdle in getting the film produced was overcoming the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, as well as possible strikes by the Directors Guild of America and the Screen Actor Guild. Bay met his shooting date with the help of previsualization and a scriptment by his writers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and series newcomer Ehren Kruger. Shooting from May to November 2008 predominantly took place in the United States, including the majority of scenes set in outside countries, a minimum of which was conducted in those actual nations.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is an upcoming 2009 fantasy-adventure film, based on the novel by J. K. Rowling. It is the sixth film in the popular Harry Potter films series. David Heyman and David Barron are producing the film, and Steve Kloves, writer of the first four films (but not the fifth), has returned as screenwriter for this film. Filming began on 24 September, 2007 and the film was originally planned for a UK and U.S. release on 21 November 2008, but on 14 August 2008, it was announced that the release date for the film was to be pushed back to 17 July 2009. Like the previous film, the sixth film will be simultaneously released in regular cinemas and IMAX 3-D.
Watchmen is an upcoming 2009 American superhero film directed by Zack Snyder. Based on the 1986 comic book limited series of the same name by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, the film adaptation stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Malin Akerman, Bill Cruduop, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Matthew Goode, Stephen McHattie, Matt Frewer, and Carla Gugino. Set in 1985, the film follows a group of former vigilantes as tensions heighten between the United States and the Soviet Union. The film began shooting in Vancouver in September 2007 for release on March 6, 2009. As with his previous film 300, Snyder closely modeled his storyboards on the comic, but he chose not to shoot all of Watchmen using chroma key and opted for more sets.
